Level 2 Award in Health & Safety in the workplace

Who is this qualification aimed at?

This Level 2 qualification is designed to equip the candidate with an improved understanding of Health & Safety within the workplace. An emphasis is placed upon making the employee safe for himself/herself, safe for others and capable of identifying potential hazards. Most accidents are attributable to a lack of knowledge or to carelessness. This award focuses on increasing awareness as crucial to improvement.

The nature of Hazards and risks in the work place and their possible effects

  • Hazards & risks relating to the environment of the workplace and their appropriate controls.

  • Hazards and risks relating to fire and electricity in the workplace and their appropriate controls.

 

Hazards and risks likely to affect the occupational health of individuals.

Entry Requirements

There are no recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification. The recommendation is that candidates have a level of literacy equivalent to Entry Level 2
